Gröden im Winter

Welcome to apartments Bauer in Santa Cristina in Val Gardena

„Nowhere else in the world I found such impressive rock-formations as in the Dolomites. Each peak has its form, each wall its face, and each group its own distinctive aura.“ (Reinhold Messner)

Bën unì te Gherdëina“,
welcome to Val Gardena.

Because of the extraordinary, monumental beauty the Dolomites were declared a UNESCO world heritage site. The soaring cliffs of the Sasso Lungo, the bizarre towers of the Odle and the wavy pastures of Alpe di Siusi make Val Gardena one of the loveliest valleys of the Dolomites.

Due to their spectacular panoramic location our modern holiday rentals in S. Cristina offer a unique view on the mountains of Val Gardena. Here the rocks meet the eye!

In summertime, our apartments are the ideal starting point for pleasant walks, long mountain hikes or challenging via ferratas. By mountain bike or e-bike you access directly the trails of the Val Gardena bike area.

In wintertime, you can quickly and easily reach the lifts of the valley (Val Gardena Ronda Express and Ciampinoi), of Alpe di Siusi and of the Sella Ronda and thus experience the world's greatest variety of ski runs with Dolomiti Superski. Directly from our house you move on to impressive alpine skiing tours with wonderful powder snow descents. The nearby Monte Pana at the bottom of the Sasso Lungo is a true paradise for cross-country skiers.

Val Gardena also preserves an extraordinary linguistic and cultural heritage: We still speak Ladin, an ancient Rhaeto-Romance language. During your holiday you can know more about our customs, about the specialities of our kitchen and, of course, about the tradition of wood carving.

If you plan to escape from everyday’s stress and to enjoy a wonderful vacation of relax with your friends or with your family you will enjoy your holidays in our house!

We look forward to seeing you.

Yours,

Fam. Bauer
